What will you do when the road you are travelling suddenly breaks up to a gaping hole to leave you stunned? That is exactly what happened in the road opposite to the hostel of College of Nursing Institute, Chennai.

The hole was 15 m long, reports Vikatan. As per the report, there were two other holes formed in Anna Salai near TVS and Spencer Plaza areas. But no vehicle was damaged in those incidents.

In this case, the driver was slightly injured and the traffic was blocked briefly. Employees who were digging up several places of the city for the city metro project were involved in patching the damaged area with cement. The same is said to be the reason for this and also for cracks on buildings in various places.

The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has stated that it is indeed the third such incident on the same road. The necessity to arrive at a solution for the problem should be one of the utmost priorities.
