Movie review: Kaaki Sattai - Keen constable

The 'Ethir Neechal' team of R.S.Durai Senthilkumar, Siva Karthikeyan, Dhanush and Anirudh Ravichander that earned a lot of expectation in the trailer itself does justice to it overall.

Siva Karthikeyan (Mathimaaran) is a genuine police constable who is very loyal and has a dream to become a superior officer in his life. With an interesting theme of 'organ robbery', the movie starts straight away with crimes and police's intelligence.

Sri Divya (Divya) is a nurse works in a private hospital on whom Siva Karthikeyan falls in love, at first sight. The hospital she works is doing illegal 'organ transplantation' and the pair discovers the activities with evidences.

Siva Karthikeyan, approaches his head Prabhu (Thana) who is adjustable to criminals and politicians, who challenged Siva Karthikeyan once to come with a highly sensitive case. He obliges to go with it and loses his life where the real villain comes out of his mask and the race starts.

Vijay Raaz (Durai) is an 'organ trader' who kills orphans and trades their organs to abroad. When he gets to know that Siva Karthikeyan is on him, the battle of Hero-Villain starts and the screenplay gets momentum.

Imman 'Annachi' (Samarasam) with his head constable role, entertained the crowd along with Siva Karthikeyan. The duo keeps the screenplay moving smooth and enjoyable. The likes of Mayilsamy, Mano Bala are other added recipes.

Siva Karthikeyan has marked his acting skills with his impressive performance while Sri Divya maintained her cuteness and well performed the important character. Anirudh is probably a bit of a disappointment.

Bottomline

Overall the movie is a normal Police story but the crew has masked it well to make it something special with their good work. Durai Senthilkumar might not have written an 'another level' script, but it does entertain the family audiences and fun lovers.

Marks: 6.5/10
