Gareth Bale |
The Welsh man is under fire as he is struggling to reach the heights of his form. The former Tottenham winger was an integral part of the Real Madrid side which won the Champions League last season.
From the start of this new season, the winger was criticized continuously for his lack of impactful play. Even though manager Carlo Ancelotti prefers the player, some authorities were not impressed with the player and a set of fans expressed that with a series of abuses.
More criticism followed as the player failed to pass to Cristiano Ronaldo in the game against Valencia when the team was losing the game. Instead of passing the ball to his fellow mate, he took the shot himself where he eventually failed.
The winger was brought to the Spanish Capital with the expectation that he will replace the club’s talisman Cristiano Ronaldo in the future. But still, the Portuguese is getting better and better every day and the 26-year-old is struggling to maintain his spot in the squad as Real Madrid are ready to sacrifice their all-time record signee to Manchester United.
Now, the speedy winger is in a situation to prove his worth once again to the club and have to cement his position to way off any potential transfer possibilities. Surely he does not want to leave the world’s best club, so soon.
And it is the perfect time for him to do that.
The record breaking Portuguese is sidelined for two games for his unprofessional behavior on the pitch against Cordoba. With a game against one of the trickiest sides in Spain, Real Sociedad ahead, the crowd expects Gareth Bale to fill in the costly boots of the Ballon D’Or winner.
And if he can power Real Madrid to glory in the absence of Ronaldo, he can convince both the authorities and the crowd that he is the right man to do the job. He could very easily cement his position and silence his doubters.
It's show time!
