Katrina Kaif to star opposite Jackie Chan: Reports

Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif is reported to have signed to star opposite Asian Superstar Jackie Chan in a film titled 'Kung Fu Yoga'. 

The actress is said to be playing a role of an Indian professor at a Chinese University whereas Jackie Chan will don the mask of an archeologist again. The Mumbai Mirror reported that the two will join hands and set out for a treasure hunt, which begins in the dynasty of King Bimbisara who ruled the Magadh empire around 542 BC to 492 BC. Known for his cultural achievements, he was a good friend and protector of Gautama Buddha, the report adds.

"There are a lot of stunts in the film which is not surprising since it features Jackie Chan, a martial arts expert. What is interesting is that Katrina too will get to do many action scenes," said a source close to the development, pointing out that she did a lot of action in Ek Tha Tiger too. 

"Katrina has performed a lot of action in Ek Tha Tiger and will be seen kicking and punching in this film too," the source was quoted as saying.

Hong Kong-based filmmaker is said to be directing this action-adventure flick.

Nothing is official

Katrina's spokesperson has stated that nothing has been finalized yet and the actress is yet to take a call on the film.

“Katrina is yet to take a decision on the film. Nothing is confirmed as of yet," her spokesperson said, in a statement.

If things fall in place, this will be Katrina's first international flick.
