With the typical Australian mind games out in full flow ahead of the all-important World Cup semi-final, right-handed opener Aaron Finch has played down the fact that India are winless against Australia this summer.
Pointing at India's 7-match winning streak in the competition, Finch conceded India would have recovered after being blanked in the Test series and the subsequent Tri-series involving England.
"We played some really good cricket against India earlier in the summer. Now they have played beautifully throughout this World Cup. Undefeated so far, the team has grown in confidence.
But when you look down our team, we match up quite well," Finch said on Tuesday.
Pitch might not assist spin
When asked about the SCG pitch, the batsman indicated that there might not be much spin to excite Indian tweakers.
"I have not had too much of a look at it," Finch said. "The last time we played here it looked like the wicket would spin quite a bit but it did not. It played really true.
"It's hard to tell since there are still two days out from the game. The wicket can change quite a bit over here in two days," he added.
