Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic clash in Indian Wells final

World No.1 Novak Djokovic will go head-to-head against Roger Federer in the final of the Indian Wells Masters on Sunday.

As the Serbian brushed aside the challenge of Britain's Andy Murray in the semi-final in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, to march on to the summit match, the Swiss master triumphed over Canadian Milos Raonic 7-5, 6-4 to set up the rematch of last year's final.

Defending champion Djokovic who will be looking forward to equal Federer's four Indian Wells titles termed the upcoming match as the ultimate final.

"It's the ultimate final that right now I can have. Probably the player that is in the best form. In the last 12 months he's been playing some of his best tennis," said Djokovic.

Commenting ahead of the match, Federer said it is going to a close contest.

"It is going to be quite physical out there, I think we played five times last year and then now this would be the second time this year. We have played each other a bunch now," said the 33-year-old.

Federer holds the edge of Djokovic in the overall head-to-head record - 20-17.
