Amitabh Thakur, Inspector General of Police in Uttar Pradesh has sent a thanking letter and a cheque for rupees thousand to Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
In his letter, he thanked the player for losing in the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup 2015. He further mentioned that Indian people were wasting their time by watching his team play and have shown no interest in their regular works because of the cricket team.
In a developing nation like India, the craze given to the game and the time spent on watching the same is nothing more than a waste of time, he concerned.
Thereby, he is thankful to the cricket team for ending the pursuit and allowing the people to concentrate on their routine work. He also sent a cheque for ₹1000 to the skipper as a thanking gift.
