Jagmohan Dalmiya unanimously elected as the BCCI President

Former BCCI and ICC President Jagmohan Dalmiya returns to power as he was unanimously elected President in the Indian board's AGM held in Chennai, reports ESPNcricinfo.

Emerging as the consensus candidate in the election between the two rival sides, led by the current ICC Chairman N.Srinivasan and former President Sharad Pawar, Dalmiya, has returned to the head post more than a decade since he last run the organisation.

Anurag Thakur won by one vote to be elected secretary over Sanjay Patel, the present official. Amitabh Chaudhary edged out Chetan Desai in a tie, as the interim BCCI President Shivlal Yadav exercised his casting right. 

Thakur and Chaudhary were backed by Pawar and Srinivasan respectively. Anirudh Chaudhary is the new treasurer for the board. CK Khanna, TC Mathew, ML Nehru, G Gangaraju and Gautam Roy are the newly elected vice-presidents.
