Winning the toss and opting to field first, Bangladesh faced a tough ask as the Scottish opener Kyle Coetzer piled up a massive 156 off just 134 balls.
In reply, Tamim Iqbal, responded to the occasion, putting Bangladesh firmly on the winning track with a valuable 95 (100). Mahmudullah chipped in with 62, involving in a 139-run second wicket stand with Tamim.
A 42-ball 60 from the blade of Mushfiqur Rahim simplified the equation. Shakib Al Hasan became the fourth half centurion of the innings, hitting the winning runs. Sabbir Rahman also remained unbeaten on 42.
