The French champions host the high-flying English leaders in their last 16 round of Champions League. The two teams played in last edition's quarter-final where the Londoners lost the game at Parc Des Princes by 3-1. But finally, it was the Londoners who went through on aggregate, thanks to a 2-0 victory in the England capital.
The things have changed now: former blues sensation, defender David Luiz swapped sides on a record move to join the French champions. Also, a number of impressive changes have seen Jose Mourinho’s side top the English Premier League. On the contrary, PSG were struggling to find their top form this season with them dropping to third position in the defense of their crown. Bur that will not stop the French giants who are ready to do anything to make their mark in the biggest tournament.
Even though the Parisians have injury concerns, the squad is still a great unit with the very dangerous Zlatan Ibrahimovic leading up front. The likes of Edinson Cavani and experienced Ezequiel Lavezzi will surely give Chelsea defenders a torrid evening. With Yohan Cabaye and Lucas Moura sidelined through injury, Thiago Motta and Marco Verratti will take charge in the center of the park.
Blaise Matuidi is expected to be fit to play and add more depth as well as creativity in the middle. The defense department is looking solid with Thiago Silva and David Luiz in the center supported by Maxwell and Van der Wiel from the sides. The absence of Marquinhos and Serge Aurier is a set back, but both Maxwell and Van der Wiel are more than capable deputies.

The in-form forward Diego Costa and a co-ordinated midfield of Cesc Fabregas, Oscar, Eden Hazard will test the PSG defense whenever they attack. Also, the presence of Nemanja Matic will give a tough task to the PSG forwards and the Serbian is good at breaking as well which is a fear factor to be taken seriously. The defensive unit led by captain John Terry is a real fortress and won’t give away many loops to spread through.
