Michael Clarke
Australian skipper Michael Clarke is declared fit and will lead the team against India in the first Test, reports cricket.com.au.

The 33-year-old has recovered from troubling hamstring injury, he suffered during the recently concluded ODI series against South Africa at home. Medium pacer Josh Hazlewood will be the 12th man.

Phillip Hughes named as the 13th man

In a heart-warming gesture, Cricket Australia has named the late Phillip Hughes as the 13th man for the Adelaide Test.

Shaun Marsh, earlier added to the squad as Clarke's cover misses out on selection. The same 12 was retained for the next match, means Marsh will fly back to join his domestic side Western Warriors to continue playing in the Sheffield Shield.

Australia team for the first Test

Chris Rogers, David Warner, Shane Watson, Michael Clarke (c), Steven Smith, Mitchell Marsh, Brad Haddin (wk), Mitchell Johnson, Ryan Harris, Peter Siddle, Nathan Lyon.
