While the mass fan following of 'Ilaya Thalapathy' Vijay await for an official conformation on whether Kaththi will release as planned on Diwali, many Kollywood celebrities as well as some television anchors have come in support for the release of the film.

While there are some news circulating on the social media that actor Vishal threatened to hold back his 'Poojai,' that is scheduled to clash with the A.R.Murugadoss project on the festive day, only to be clarified as rumour, other actors like Shantanu and Sibiraj have come out strongly in support of the movie.

Shantanu, a well known Vijay fan, retweeted a meme that had Ajith Kumar's famous dialogue from Veeram being flexed to suit the situation.

Actor Prasanna, retweeted a fan tweet indicating the sad state of Tamil cinema with politics influencing the industry. Television anchors Divyadharshini (DD) and Anjana Rangan also expressed their support for the film.

There was support even from Sriya Reddy, Vishal's sister-in-law as well as Mohan Raman, popular supporting actor.

Actor Mahat, who played brother of Vijay in the star's recent release Jilla, tweeted with the tagline #isupportKaththi.
Also IndiaGlitz, the popular online media house also tweeted their support for the mega budget film with a cartoon joining Kaththi with Thala 55.
Just as I was about to conclude the article, news broke out assuring the fans and everyone of a Diwali release. Reservations are about to start from tomorrow (21st October) informed Behindwoods.
