For the second week running, we get to watch an actor better known as a comedian donning the role of the lead. Vadivelu as Elisamy (a) Eli shines whenever he brings out the comedian in him but, sadly, that is not enough.
Storyline
A mischievous thief was chosen to infiltrate a gangster team and spy information for police. Will he be successful?
Cast & Crew
Yuvaraj Dhayalan has stayed within in his comfort zone and narrates the script in a playful manner, just like his previous movies. The script unfolds much to the delight of the comedy (read Vadivelu) lovers, without any surprise element or engaging plot.
Sadha's comeback was limited to the only a countable number of scenes and a couple of songs (including a dream duet!). Pradeep Rawat, as the person with negative shades and Adhitya, as a policeman were good casts.
Sadly, there is nothing to praise about Vidyasagar's composition and technical team, but Thota Tharani's artwork. Not able to understand the purpose to backdate the plot to 1960s. Some of the dialogues uttered by Vadivelu were the sole respite.
'Nan Kadavul' Rajendran's cameo was unnecessary. It was good to see Sadha back on screen but has no scope for performance whatsoever. Eli in short can be skipped and catch up the comedy portions on television.

Bottomline
Apart from some trademark Vadivelu moments, it is a very unimpressive show.
Marks: 4.5/10
