The French champions are hosting Barcelona in the quarter final of the UEFA Champions League next week. But the omens are not favoring them as a series of injuries have raised doubts on the team's chances of beating the Spanish giants.
The Parisians already are without their star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic since the forward was sent off in the round-16 game against Chelsea. Marco Verratti also was not available as he picked up three yellows in the course of the competition.
Now, veteran defender David Luiz was ruled out for nearly four weeks after he was forced off from the pitch in the game against Marseille. Midfielder Thiago Motta also left the pitch with a thigh problem.
Another concern for coach Laurent Blanc is Edinson Cavani who was substituted at the hour mark on doubts about his fitness.
With this five big players, the list also includes Lucas Moura who is also not 100% fit to play.
With number of star players not available due to suspension and injuries, PSG are set to host the in-form Barcelona and their chances of beating the Catalans is looking slim. But with the squad depth that PSG has, one can hope for an enjoyable entertainer.
