Mohammad Hafeez's bowling action found illegal; suspended from bowling

Mohammad Hafeez
Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has been suspended from bowling in international matches after the test reports deemed his bowling action illegal.

The off-spinner was reported after the first Test against Pakistan at Abu Dhabi last month. The reports confirm that all of his deliveries exceeded the 15-degree permissible limit during the testing at Loughborough, England.

The 34-year-old is a regular bowler for Pakistan across all three formats and has 43, 122 and 46 wickets in Tests, ODI and T20s respectively.

Notably, the player was earlier called in the Champions League T20 (CLT20) held in India. However, it is only limited to the BCCI tournaments.

Hafeez was the second from Pakistan to be suspended from bowing joining Saeed Ajmal. Understandably, the recent development has further declined the Asian side's chances at the next year's ICC World Cup.
