Virender Sehwag to move out of Delhi

Indian discard Virender Sehwag might turn out for Haryana in this year's domestic season following alleged fall out with captain Gautam Gambhir and Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) officials. The 36-year-old is also looking at a career in cricket administration post-retirement which is another strong reason for the move, reports Cricbuzz.

"Sehwag eventually wants to get into cricket administration and it's very difficult for him to break into the DDCA. Big names such as Bishan Bedi have struggled to do so for so many years," said a source close to the development.

"He also had differences with Delhi captain Gautam Gambhir last season. There has been a lot of unrest in the Delhi dressing room. Gambhir has been told to handle both the seniors and juniors tactfully," added the source.

The report also adds that the player had previously threatened to move out of the side indicating the Delhi board's irregular functioning. It is also a well-known fact that the batsman was reluctant to represent the state in all formats of the game and cites that Delhi has a need to infuse young blood.

The deadline for obtaining the no-objection certificate, to play for other teams in the country is September. The veteran has incidentally set up a school in Haryana, which might also be the reason for this switch.
