Nowadays, we, the people of India speak about corruption, injustice, duty calibration, politics, the bad leaders, the unfinished heroes, the stress level of individuals and so on. We are spending more time on yoga & how to reduce the stress levels by sharing and spending the life with our close peers. Everyone is so very busy with their own life that they never really think about others.

But this man lived his life for the nation: the one who we all forgot. He throwed light on the injustice to crash it.

He was a poor man from a rural village of Sahpur, Bihar. His story might resemble the plot of inspirational movies as he studied without electricity and topped the district in both the secondary and higher secondary education. He qualified as a topper in IIT Kanpur and evolved as a civil engineer from one of the nation's prestigious institutes as if he was destined to.

In the very next year, he got his post graduation from IIT Varanasi in civil engineering in the year 1996. A lot of MNCs were ready to buy him for Lakhs & Crores, but the man had a clear vision of his own track.

He chose to serve our nation, becoming an Indian Engineering Service (IES) officer in the national highway development project of NHAI. He started his career as an Executive Engineer in a small project. He needed only a little time to expose corrupted hands in front of the government, suspending many employees from the project. He wrote complaint letters to the PM of India on the malpractice among contractors, but those were redirected to his own superiors against whom the letters were intended to in first place.

After a long time, he joined the department in a big national highway project as the executive head. This time he was successful in exposing the corrupt hands directly to the honorable PM. In 4 years time, he was appointed as the Project Head whereas it takes an average of 20 years for an executive to reach that position. Aware of his threat, the black sheeps plotted his death as it was the only way to escape punishment. On a fine day, 2003, Gaya, while he was returning from a marriage function, he was shot dead in the railway station. The point to be noted is that he won't use his office vehicle for private needs.

The fire that tried to upheld the glory of India was put out. It took almost a decade to get justice and even that is only an eye-wash. He was widely believed to have been murdered by those who faced the wrath of his good deeds, but it was convicted that a group of rickshaw drivers shot him for simple reason of robbery. After the whistleblower's death. his brother told that he was like a hero, he never feared anyone. He used to say that corrupted should be punished. They must not escape law, no one has rights to take people's wealth.

To me, he is the one who gave an example of an ideal life to live for an Indian. He studied, employed, worked, lived and died for the nation. Think about this whistleblower for one second before doing anything against our nation. He is none other than the whistleblower against corruption 'Satyendra Dubey IES.'

Salute him!
