Runtime: 2 hours 31 minutes.
Storyline
A tale of a Juliet who rejects her Romeo when she is not very satisfied with his financial status and was forced to find him another girl.
Cast & Crew
As a gym trainer and a romantic hero, Ravi (Karthik (again)) casually fits in the role and the pairing opposite Hansika Motwani (Aishwarya) is as good as it can get. This love story is not something on the lines of a monumental, classic stuff, but of a modern times, by a realistic portrayal.
One could resist but to compare the opening few minutes with Engeyum Kadhal, especially with the same lead pair around and this being their second film together with the previous one also belonging to the same genre.
Hansika has repeatedly proved her acting credentials whenever she has been offered with such roles and was refreshingly good once again. VTV Ganesh tries something at comedy and it comes off well at times.
Poonam Bajwa has minimal but good screen presence, watch out for Arya's cameo as the actor himself. Music by Imaan is not short on quality; the background score is neat and gets better with narration. Among songs, Thoovaanam and Dandanakka were instant attractions in the album, but the later doesn't really get the crowd going as expected. Cinematographer Sounder Rajan and Anthony's editing binds well. The length could have been trimmed a bit.
The costume designer deserves a special mention here for adding good value to the movie with colorful and likable outfits. The title card recalls some of the best love films of the past.
A very well predictable script, but how much different can one expect a love film to be! It could be a bit boring or be the latest addition to your favorites list depending on your mentality.
Bottomline
An average first half and an above average second part make us move out of the screens with some satisfaction.
Marks: 7/10
