Convicted Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha was not granted the anticipated unconditional bail by Karnataka High Court today. In the verdict that was given by today afternoon, the court shut the window of hope for AIADMK party members who started celebrating after Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) showed no objection in granting bail.
However, Justice A V Chandrashekar dismissed the bail plea stating that "Corruption amounts to violation of human rights; leads to economic imbalance," reports the Hindu.
As every other day, the Tweeters were in full swing and took turns to have their say on the matter.
