Do DERBY temptations last beyond 90 Minutes?

"On derby day in Manchester, the city is cut in two. The Blues and the Reds invade the streets, and if your team wins the city belongs to you." That is how Eric Cantona, legendary Manchester United footballer describes the Manchester derby with stark reality. Cantona's wise words reflect the intensity of fanatics, players and each and every soul who back their club and follow the rampant rivalry for decades.

On the eve of derby - people lose their mind; baneful hexes imprecate the teams; even before the kickoff, the battle commences right at the streets among fans; occasionally, deep down in the tunnel too! With sheer-craze and fervid passion, players pour in their massive strength and confidence in the field to ensure triumph for their club and family of fans patting their back.

Anyhow, the so-called phrase 'A game has got only one winner' - hated by football maniacs particularly after 90 minutes, will have its say at last pulling down number of fiery spirits to drown in the ocean of disappointment. Defeated players make out their misapprehensions while genuine supporters on the losing side end the night with weeps and ponder over the tactical errs.

Still, players and officials are rewarded with massive bucks and they get along with their forthcoming fixtures and life. Meanwhile, the state of supporters? The pathetic situation of those ardent fanatics is under scrutiny and it discloses remorseful facts.

Initially such 'derby defeated' victims are injected with a lot more hatred and hostility nature towards their fellow rivals. It drifts right from kids who plunder their rival teams in Play Stations to the senior citizens' war of words. Instantly they mull over the next derby fixture and are out of the question.

Pushing aside such acts of genuine fanatics, on the other world, plastic supporters begin to swap sides. Despite the fact being immaterial to involve them in such a controversial debate, it is essential to reveal their responses too!

Days pass by. Victims remain in the conjuring state of mute, waiting desperately to pose immense-threat again. But still keenness is of no bounds and our victims step up to expose their antagonism over foes. This is where they opt to respond to an act of regret, 'Racism'!

"You can't delete racism. It's like a cigarette. You can't stop smoking if you don't want to, and you can't stop racism if people don't want to. But I'll do everything I can to help," says Italy and Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.

Our frenzy victims undertake such deliberate deeds which  occupy the foremost bitter cause of sorrow among nations and endangers the flavour of humanity too.

Imagine when segmentation among people occurs and the game of football is made to blame! Nevertheless, it proves to be the actual  grounds.

Right  from Sol Campbell's racist chants to the recent anti-Semite incident that took place in Paris involving Chelsea fans who were accused of thrusting down a black PSG  supporter out of the metro train , the matter ascends from bad to worse and proves to be of a bloodcurdling situation in the sports world.

Despite implementing such poor attitude over fellow counterpart supporters, our deadly victims remain unconvinced and couldn't get hold off their defeat. Finally, misery-led supporters brace themselves to plug into their decisive outrageous attempt. A poor attempt to assault their rival team players!

Blasting eggs at rivals' team bus, hitting players with bottles and sticks from stands, throwing blazing flares are some of their provocations that fancy their chances of soothing down. With reference to the recent flooding disaster during which Russian goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev  was hit from behind  by flare thrown from stands in Euro 2016 qualifier match against Montenegro, it is patently a no denying fact that cheap executions are beyond limit and to be treated with sheerness.

Despite the renowned fact, that football supporters are known for their hardcore fervent and torrid passion for the game, there arises a polemical debate whether such beyond measure enthuse, spell towards a global discomfort.

And it is advisable that such tempted fanatics shouldn't lose their nerves and rather treat a sport just like the brutal calm manner it should. An elegant and rich game of football should lure hearts rather losing one's respect over others and it all rests within the supporters' on and off field activities.

“Some people think football [soccer] is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that." quotes Bill Shankly.

Sure it is serious, but seriously serious too has got a terminal.
