Director M.Saravanan’s third film, famous for his previous social movies, the director tried to distract the people with the title as the ‘Valiyavan’ which may make one expect a heroic film. But, it isn’t the case. The director has once again comes up with the same domain, but it only reveals in front of us after a bit draggy, fun filled first half.
As the movie starts, the love story of Jai (Vinoth) and Andrea (Subhiksha) rolls on. Andrea refuses to accept her love for Jai even though she loves him which forces Jai to please her by doing anything she wants.
Andrea asks Jai to beat ‘Olympic Silver medal’ winner Ashwin, (played by a newcomer) and Jai accepts the challenge in a blink of time where the director hints that the hero already has a personal vengeance against the villain. And the battle starts from there on.
In the first half, the director tried to entertain the crowd as much as possible with Jai and Bala Saravanan, both doing their part well. Jai once again fits well with a comic hero role.
Second half is as expected, but the flashback? Only a rare number of people can guess that. Full of something that you could not have seen in the entire first half.
The first part could have still been better and it is comparatively less in quality to the directer's previous films. But, if one has an impactful end to the story, it always creates a positivity to the film's success.
Music by Imaan is as good as usual, Dinesh Krishnan's cinematography and Subarak's editing is neat and adds value to the scenes. M.Saravanan's dialogues is one big plus for the movie, especially towards the end.

A movie that everyone can watch, everyone can appreciate. Jai deserves credits, Andrea did her part to the mark, and the other solid characters will hit you solidly in the later stages. Watch out for an action-packed climax.
