Team India limited overs captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was served a notice by the Jharkhand State Housing Board (JSHB), asking why an "illegally allotted plot" not be cancelled, cricketcountry.com reported.

Jharkhand government reportedly allotted 5002 square feet plot in Ranchi's Harmu Housing Colony to the wicket-keeper batsman back in 2006 for his exemplary contribution to the game. He was the first from the state to make it big in the international arena. However, another plot was reserved for the player adjacent to the original one stretching across 4780 square feets.

The Chennai Super Kings skipper has been asked to reply for the notice within 15 days, the report further informs. JSHB Managing director Dilip Jha chose not to comment on the same.
