Death sentence for former Egypt President


Mohammed Morsi, former President of Egypt was to be sentenced to death for passing state secrets, reports Times of India. Morsi was ousted from power in July 2013 as protesters demanded his resignation a year after becoming the first freely elected President.

He was earlier sentenced for a 20-year jail term and he even attempted jailbreak. The final verdict on Saturday confirmed the expected decision to end Morsi's life along with 100 others.

The accused were said to have involved in illegal activities to destabilize the country for Morsi.
