In a minor road accident in Mirpur, Bangladesh One Day International captain Mashrafe Mortaza has sustained injuries to both his hands. The pace bowler is expected to recover on time to lead his side against a full strength India team.
"This is unfortunate. We are concerned about his palm. But we will give him maximum chance to recover in time for the ODI series," Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurasingha told ESPNcricinfo."
The player was travelling to the Shere Bangla Stadium for training in an auto rickshaw that was pushed by a bus, leaving both hands bandaged. If sidelined, it will be severe blow to the side that hopes to give a tough fight to the visitors and are high on confidence following a few favourable results over the last few months.
