Sukhoi-30 fighter jet crashes in Assam

Indian Air Force's fighter jet Sukhoi Su-30 MKI crashed in Assam in the afternoon. Both pilots were unharmed as they safely ejected, confirms Eastern Air Command. 

Primary reports say the plane took off from IAF's Tezpur base and crashed near the Nagaon district of the state, 35 km away from the airstrip. A court of enquiry has been ordered to investigate the incident that took place at around 12.30 pm local time.
